WHAT TO EXPECT
Practice day is your racer’s chance to try out the cars and racing down the hill.
If it’s your first time racing with us or if you are a returning racer, you are welcome to attend practice day.
Racers will get one run down the hill. Once all racers have had a turn, racers may take additional practice runs as time permits
Ready to Race: If you have a favorite helmet from home or have a SuperKids racing helmet from prior years, bring it along. If you are a new racer to us, a helmet will be provided.
Learning more: A parent meeting will be held to go over how race day works and to answer any questions.
Refreshments: Light snacks and water will be available.
If you are a new co-pilot for Greater Ohio Area SuperKids, you must participate on race day, even if you have been a co-pilot in other SuperKids races. If you are unable to attend practice day, please let us know in advance.
Please arrive by 5:00pm to check in at the pavilion. Water and light snacks will be provided.
Remember to bring your helmet and get ready to have some fun with our SuperKids!

How to get there
Location: 789 Derby Downs Dr, Akron, OH 44306
Directions: Access Derby Downs from George Washington Blvd to Springfield Lake Boulevard. Turn right and proceed down Derby Downs Blvd. Parking is located behid the bleachers.
Parking: roceed up the hill to the starting line pavillion on foot. If you need to drop off passengers requiring special assistance getting, PLEASE: drive slowly up to pavilion parking area, drop off passengers, and then return to park at the lower parking area.
